I grew up in Southern California and studied journalism at the University of Southern California. My work history spans15 years in publishing in California, a few years in Australia in publicity, years in social work and report writing and general admin jobs, and five years at Port Stephens FM, writing and reading the weekend local news (unpaid).
I fell in love with a handsome Australian guy in California, and moved down under in 1997. We first moved to the Bay in 2003, and apart from a few years away for work, have been here since then. At the age of four I started playing the piano and studying music and have played in choirs, orchestras, small vocal groups and a jazz band.
I am passionate about music and enjoy most kinds: rock, blues and r&b, folk, country, jazz and classical.
My tenure at Port Stephens FM is coming up to about eight years.
