When I was a kid, my Newcastle-based family was lucky enough to have a holiday house – built by my father – at Fingal Bay, so I spent many weekends and all school holidays there until I finished high school and zoomed off to Sydney. I worked in journalism, starting with a cadetship at The Sydney Morning Herald. When I retired, I moved to Port Stephens and joined PSFM in 2017. At first I compiled and read the local news; later I trained as a presenter.
I’ve discovered a love for the blues, both the music and the history, and now present ‘The Blues Bus’ on Wednesday evenings from 6-9pm.
Favourites? Too many to mention, but I do aim to keep adding to my collection with new Australian blues in particular.
