I was born in Bellevue Hill Sydney & resided mainly on the North Shore until after Jane & I married. We then spent 12 years in Berowra & 26 years in Dural. We finally settled in Port Stephens in 2014. I joined PSFM in October 2014.
In my early life I excelled in music, sport & at school. After school I studied Accounting gaining my Bachelor of Business & then conducted my own Accounting & Tax Practice in Willoughby NSW.
Through music I was a school soloist, formed a band at 15 & continued in various bands till now. I also started an Elvis Tribute Show called “Dial Elvis” in 1978 that lasted 30 years. I also started a wedding car hire business in 1991 called Paddy’s Caddies. It lasted nearly 20 years.
My interest in radio started at 4 years of age. My Mum, Dad, Grandfather & Brother-in-Law were all for several years in commercial radio. From age 7-12 I was always in the studios of 2SM, 2CH, 2KY, Cinesound & other recording studios. Being in bands I was often recording.
I served in the Australian Army for 3 years as a Centurion Tank Driver(1968-1971) I was in the Citizen Military Forces (CMF) at 1/15th Royal New South Wales Lancers,Parramatta.
I joined Community radio in special memory of my family & to contribute my experience.
It’s been a great ride with PSFM as a Presenter, President, Vice-President & Marketing Manager. Nearly 12 years now as a Presenter & nearly 6 years on the Committee. I’m also very honoured & proud to be admitted as a Life Member since November 2023.
